Emma Blagg

Biography

Emma joined BDUK in January 2022 as Programme Director for the Shared Rural Network (SRN) programme. As Programme Director, Emma is responsible for the Shared Rural Network Programme which is a world-leading deal with the UK’s four Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) that will see public and private investment in a network of new and existing phone masts to level up connectivity across the UK.

Emma has over 20 years experience in delivering a range of government major programmes. Before joining BDUK, Emma held a variety of programme and project leadership roles in the Department for Health and Social Care, the Home Office and its agencies. Emma has worked with organisations across government, policing, national security and health and is passionate about improving project delivery capability in government.

A Chartered member of the Association of Project Management, and an Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA) assurance reviewer, Emma has conducted reviews over the last decade including major programmes in defence, public health, borders, the built environment, public safety and policing.
