Elizabeth Rickett

Biography

Elizabeth took up post as Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Tallinn in July 2012. She joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 2006.

From 2006 to 2008 she worked in London in the Counter Proliferation Department, where she was responsible for Arms Control issues and worked on nuclear policy. In 2008 she joined the Consular Department where she had responsibility for complex consular issues involving British nationals.

From 2009 to 2012 she worked in the United Kingdom Mission to the United Nations in New York, dealing with Somalia, Piracy and East Africa issues in the UN and the UN Security Council

Elizabeth studied History at the University of Birmingham and has a PhD in history from Queen’s University, Belfast.
