Dominic O'Brien
Biography
Dominic has 28 years experience in the nuclear industry. He studied chemical engineering at university and worked in the petrochemical industry before moving to Nuclear Electric. Dominic came to DSRL in 2019 to work on the prime contract. In his previous role at Horizon he was responsible for the day to day operations at the Wylfa development site reporting to the executive director, operations and was directly responsible for development of management arrangements in preparation for granting of the nuclear site licence. He is currently Interim Commercial Director.
Dominic has worked at many site and corporate locations across the UK and abroad in both commercial and engineering roles at all levels including senior positions at organisations such as Horizon, Sizewell B (British Energy) and Arup. His experience includes operations, outages, projects, systems engineering, decommissioning and business development.
