Ms Diane Corner

Biography

Ms Diane Corner has been British Consul General in Jerusalem since June 2021. Before that she was Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary General (Political and Protection of Civilians) in MINUSCA in the Central African Republic 2014 to 2017. She was also Counsellor Foreign and Security Policy at the British Embassy in Washington for 6 months in 2019.

Diane was Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo and Ambassador (non-resident) in 2013 to 2014. She was High Commissioner to Tanzania 2009 to 2013.

Diane joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in 1982. She has had postings to Kuala Lumpur, New York, Berlin, Harare and Freetown. She also attended the NATO Defence College in Rome in 2000.

Diane holds a BA in French and Politics from the University of Bristol, and an MA in War Studies from King’s College London.
