Mr Dean Medcraft
Biography
Dean Medcraft was appointed as Head of Operations for the Sustainable Futures Group within the Welsh government in 2011.
The group covers three ministerial portfolios, one in the Department for Natural Resources and Food. This portfolio includes the Agriculture, Food and Marine Directorate which is working to provide a high quality of life for people who live and work in our rural communities.
He is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and has an MBA from Cardiff Business School.
His previous roles include Executive Director of Finance for a Health Board in Wales before joining the Sustainable Futures Group.
UKCB Board Member for the Welsh Government
The UK Co-ordinating Body Management Board includes a representative of each of the 4 departments that own UKCB:
- the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
- the Welsh government
- the Scottish government
- the Northern Ireland Executive
The chairmanship of the board rotates between the 4 representatives.
