David Hancock

Biography

David joined DVLA in August 2000 and was appointed Director Operations & Customer Services in September 2013.

Education

Further education included A Level studies in English Literature and Geography.

Career

During his career David has held a number of senior operational posts at both national and international level. As Director of Digital Services and Data Input he was responsible for DVLA’s online services including 25 million electronic vehicle licensing transactions. David has a keen interest in understanding the needs and expectations of the customer and is used to working closely with marketing and customer insight teams to ensure the business delivers high quality services whilst at the same time running with maximum efficiency. Prior to joining the agency, David held a regional director post with CWS Ltd with responsibility for acquisitions and business development. Before that he spent two and a half years based in Barcelona as Operations Director for a Spanish subsidiary of a UK PLC.
