David Bennett was previously chief executive of Monitor.

David’s previous roles have included:

• non-political Chief Policy Adviser to Prime Minister Tony Blair
• Head of the Policy Directorate and the Strategy Unit in 10 Downing Street
• independent adviser to various NHS bodies
• senior partner at McKinsey & Co., where he focused on regulated, technology-intensive industries
