Daniel Morley joined the Department for Communities and Local Government’s Board as a Non-Executive Director in September 2017.
Daniel has over 20 years experience in investment banking, and has worked across the globe managing teams delivering a range of innovative financial products and services, and leading complex transactional negotiations involving both government and institutional clients. He has held strategic advisory and governance roles, including developing and implementing new global governance standards across Deutsche Bank.
From 1995 to 1999 Daniel was a Vice President at Lehman Brothers before moving to Deutsche Bank where he is a Managing Director. He has held multiple roles, including Global Head of Emerging Markets Structuring and Chief Operating Officer (Global Structuring). Daniel will provide knowledge and experience from the financial sector to offer valuable advice, challenge and support to the Department.
The DCLG board’s role is to advise and support ministers on the operational implications and effectiveness of policy proposals and help turn policy from ideas into actions and results.
Part of DCLG’s leadership team, non-executive board members help with that task.
