Craig Fulton

Biography

Craig Fulton has been Deputy High Commissioner to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean since August 2017. He has served overseas previously in Uganda, Pakistan and Singapore.

From 2013-2017, Craig was Deputy Director in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Directorate of the FCDO.  Previous assignments in the UK have focussed primarily on policy work related to the European Union and Africa.  These have included two periods in Europe Directorate, latterly as Deputy Director in the European Strategy Group; as Head of East Africa Section in Africa Directorate; and an appointment as Private Secretary to two FCDO Africa Ministers (whose various responsibilities also included Latin America & the Caribbean, Asia, and UN issues).  In addition to his policy work, Craig’s corporate assignments have included Head of Unit in the Directorate for Strategy & Innovation, and an Auditor within the Internal Audit Department.

Craig holds an Master of Arts in Corporate Social Responsibility, and also achieved a professional Audit qualification (Practitioner of the Institute of Internal Auditors – PIIA).  His hobbies include golf, skiing, travel, and walking his Golden Retriever dog with his wife and son.
