Clive Smith

Biography

Clive is a former practising barrister. He has severe haemophilia A and spent nine years as a trustee of the Haemophilia Society and six years as Chair. Those 6 years coincided with the Infected Blood Inquiry and Clive spent many months at the Inquiry in his role as Chair and as a core participant. Clive is currently the honorary President of the Haemophilia Society.
Over the years, Clive has engaged governments, spoken at All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) meetings and been interviewed by the national and international press about the Inquiry. As a former member of the board of directors of the World Federation of Hemophilia.
Clive has links with other societies around the world who have been through the inquiry process, particularly Ireland and Canada.
