Dr Claire Fuller
Biography
Dr Claire Fuller took up the post of Interim Medical Director, initially at NHS England, on 1 April 2025.
She qualified from St Mary’s Hospital in 1992 and has remained a practising GP throughout her career.
She was previously Primary Care Medical Director for NHS England, and before that was CEO for Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care System, having held a range of executive system leadership roles in Surrey over a decade. In November 2021 Claire was invited by former NHS England Chief Executive Amanda Pritchard to look at primary care in integrated care systems.
Claire is also visiting professor in the Faculty of Health and Medical Science at Surrey University.
