Clair Walton

Biography

Clair has been infected and affected by contaminated blood through the loss of her husband, who had severe haemophilia and was co-infected with Hepatitis C and HIV. She became infected with HIV through the course of the relationship.
Clair has been a campaigner, and co-founded Positive Women to raise awareness of the lived experience of the wives and partners who were infected with HIV via their husbands/partners.
Clair is a core participant to the Inquiry and is one of the Infected Blood Compensation Authority’s User Consultants.
Clair has extensive experience of archive conservation and art, with skills that will complement the design of memorials.
