Chris Hall

Biography

Chris Hall joined the Cabinet Office in 2012. He was appointed interim Government Chief Commercial Officer in December 2015, a role he held until March 2016.

Previously Chris led the Complex Transactions Team in the Crown Commercial Service, working with departments to gain the best deals available for the government’s major contracts.

Chris has over 25 years of experience in consulting, technology management, and project and programme delivery, including with A T Kearney and Ernst & Young.

His career highlights include:

  • 20 years in management consultancy, A T Kearney and Ernst & Young, working primarily in the public sector across a range of departments and authorities
  • technology management with Logica (now CGI), Olivetti, Cambridge Consultants and EDS (now HP Enterprises Services)
  • commercial leadership of multi-million pound deals including Rolls-Royce, EDS’ successful bid for the MOD Defence Information Infrastructure and the National Identity Scheme
