Chris Flatt

Biography

Chris Flatt was appointed as Principal Private Secretary to the Secretary of State in September 2014. Previously he worked as the Scotland Office’s Deputy Director (Constitution and International Affairs) from July 2010.

Before joining the Scotland Office, Chris worked for 8 years in the Northern Ireland Office, mainly on policy issues but also corporate service delivery. Policy issues Chris covered include the legacy of Northern Ireland’s past, public inquiries, human rights and national security matters.

Principal Private Secretary to the Secretary of State

The Principal Private Secretary has responsibility for managing the Secretary of State’s Private Office.
