Catherine is the Director of Market Access and Budget at the Department for Exiting the European Union.
Catherine began her civil service career in 2000 and held various roles in the Treasury for 11 years. She then took up the role of Economic and Trade Counsellor at the British Embassy in Beijing, where she led work to strengthen the UK and China’s economic relationship.
Catherine returned to the UK in 2015 and was appointed Director EU Internal Issues at the European and Global Issues Secretariat in the Cabinet Office, before taking on her current role in the Department for Exiting the European Union.
Catherine studied economics at Emmanuel College, Cambridge.
