Biography
Brian Etheridge was appointed Acting Director General Rail Executive in July 2015
Career
Brian Etheridge began his career in local government then worked at the Association of District Councils, the Department of the Environment, the Health and Safety Executive, and the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit, before joining the Department for Transport in 2011.
Brian has been responsible for the Department for Transport’s motoring agencies, and for divestment of the department’s shared services operation in Swansea. He was also the department’s CIO and digital leader and managed the in-house IT function. In June 2015 he became a member of the Rail Executive Board and Director for Integrated Delivery.
