Benedict Llewellyn-Jones OBE

Biography

Benedict Llewellyn-Jones OBE has been British High Commissioner to Rwanda and non-resident Ambassador to Burundi since January 2011.

Benedict joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 2007. He has previously served in the UK’s Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels and as Head of the Zimbabwe team at the FCO in London.

Benedict is a graduate of the University of Oxford. He has considerable career experience in policing and drugs and crime policy, climate change policy and African affairs.

Benedict Llewellyn-Jones is married, and has 1 daughter.
