Antony Jenkins

Biography

Antony Jenkins was appointed Chair of the Institute for Apprenticeships on 27 February 2017. The Institute for Apprenticeships became the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education on 31 January 2019 on the commencement of its technical education responsibilities.

He is Founder and Executive Chair of 10x Future Technologies Ltd. Antony is also Group Chairman of Currencies Direct and a board member of Blockchain. He is also a Board Director of Fannie Mae.

He was previously the Group CEO of Barclays PLC for 3 years until July 2015.

Chair, Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education

The chair runs the board which has responsibility for establishing the strategic direction of the institute.

The board also ensures that the institute discharges its statutory duties as set out in the Enterprise Act and government accounting rules in relation to its use of public funds.
