Biography

Anna Shotbolt has been appointed as British Consul General and Deputy Trade Commissioner Australia and New Zealand, based in Sydney. Prior to this she was the Deputy Trade Commissioner for South Asia, based in New Delhi, where she led on Trade Policy, including the FTA, Exports and Economics.

Prior to this role, Anna served as the British Deputy High Commissioner for Karnataka and Kerala, where she was responsible for building government, business, and community relationships to support UK-India ties.

In the UK, Anna’s previous roles include Deputy Director of the Export Support Service at the Department for International Trade, and Deputy Director at Cabinet Office working on the Integrated Review. She has also served in Beijing as First Secretary, focusing on trade and investment in sectors such as education and infrastructure.
