Anna Sanders
Biography
Anna Sanders was appointed as Director for the COVID-19 Inquiry Response Unit at the Department of Health and Social Care in February 2022.
She was previously Director for Strategy, People and Culture in the Government Legal Department (GLD).
Anna has spent most of her Civil Service career between Defra and the Cabinet Office with previous posts including Private Secretary for Defra ministers, Senior Policy Advisor on Food Policy and Civil Service Reform. Most recent roles include:

Deputy Director, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra): responsible for Common Agricultural Policy, related preparation for Day 1 of Exiting the EU, and the Programme Management and Governance for the Future Farming (and Countryside) Programme
