Anna is the Director of Economic Diplomacy at the FCO.
She has served the FCO in a variety of roles, including Director of Protocol, joint Head of Communications, and overseas at the UK Representation to the EU, the UK Mission to the United Nations in New York, and at the British Embassy in Warsaw. Anna has also worked at No.10 as a Private Secretary to the Prime Minister and as a Deputy Director in the Cabinet Office’s Economic and Global Issues Secretariat.
Director, Economic Diplomacy
The Director of Economic Diplomacy oversees the FCO’s economic policy work in London and across all the FCO’s Posts. This aims to achieve economic reforms that drive growth, and tackle global economic issues. Policy work and programme activities include:
- improving business environments and trade reforms
- future energy needs
- innovation partnerships
- better health systems
The Director of Economic Diplomacy leads the FCO’s input to the G7, G20 and OECD, and is the UK’s G7 Foreign Affairs Sous Sherpa.
