Professor Anna Vignoles is a Professor of Education in the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge. Prior to that she was Professor of Economics of Education at the Institute Of Education and a Research Fellow at the London School of Economics. Her research interests include the economic value of education, and specifically the labour market value of basic skills, training, qualifications and different types of curricula. She also researches issues around equity in education and school efficiency, with a particular emphasis on the study of financial and human resourcing in education. Anna has advised numerous government departments, including the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, HM Treasury, and the Department for Education. Recently, she has provided advice to the Browne Review of Higher Education Funding, the House of Commons Education and Skills Committee investigation of higher education funding, the House of Lords Economic Affairs Select Committee and Lord Leitch’s Review of Skills. Anna is an Associate Editor of the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series A and Education Economics.
