Angus Stewart

Biography

Angus was appointed Deputy Ambassador to the Czech Republic in September 2016. He previously served as Deputy Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Somalia, Head of Mission in Benghazi and in various other international positions including in Kabul, Lashkar Gah and Musa Qal’eh.

At the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in London, Angus served as Head of Expeditionary Diplomacy, Head of Hostile Environment Operations and, amongst a variety of other appointments, Deputy Head of Recruitment for the Diplomatic Service.

He joined the Foreign Office in 2006 following an initial career in the private sector.
