Andy Murphy
Biography
Andy became Chief Digital Information Officer for Building Digital UK (BDUK), at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) in January 2026.
He is responsible for the use of technology, data and digital services including internal business transformation and the professional oversight of technology standards.
Andy joined BDUK in 2022 as Head of Technical Operations, leading the management of technical input for the Open Market Review.
He previously worked in the private sector, including fifteen years at Openreach in leadership and operational roles. This included delivering key regional connectivity programmes.
