Andrew Hood stood down from the lead non-executive board member role at Department for International Trade on 15 March 2021. He was appointed in November 2020.

He has 20 years’ experience in the private sector working in or on behalf of companies involved with banking, insurance, asset management, broadcasting, AI, social media and cement.
He also has a background in foreign affairs and defence, and has worked in North America, the Middle East and Asia.
