Alyson Armett
Biography
Alyson has vast experience in both the public and private sectors of managing high risk complex programmes in highly regulated environments.
She is a physicist and chartered electrical engineer, and prior to joining the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) in 2005, worked in the steel industry and rail sector in operational, engineering, technical consultancy and business management roles.
Alyson was the NDA’s Head of Programme for Sellafield Ltd. In this role she was responsible for the oversight of all major programmes at the Sellafield site, driving all aspects of delivery through the management and operations contract in place between the NDA and Sellafield Ltd.
Her previous positions at Sellafield Ltd when she joined in 2016, were Head of Strategy and Planning and prior to that Head of the Enterprise Portfolio Office.
She is a Non-Executive Director of Direct Rail Services, having joined their board in March 2019.
Alyson became Interim Enterprise Director at Sellafield Ltd in March 2020.
