Alison Macleod
Biography
Alison’s career has been primarily in HR specialising in Reward. She spent much of her career with British Airways having joined as a graduate trainee in a variety of HR roles latterly leading the Reward Team through many challenging and complex reward activities. Her most recent executive role was as Reward Director at City and Guilds where she developed a deep understanding of the importance of skills development and vocational training.
Alison is now building her NED portfolio with a focus on education and pensions. She has been a governor of St Paul’s Boys’ School and continues to chair its Pension Board. She is a Member of Education Development Trust having served as a trustee and is a board member/trustee of Anthem Schools Trust where she chair’s the People Committee. She has recently become an independent member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries Remuneration Committee. She is looking forward to proactively contributing to the STRB using her expertise and knowledge to add value to its work.

STRB Member
The function of STRB is to consider matters referred to it by the Secretary of State for the Department for Education (DfE) in relation to the remuneration, professional duties or working time of school teachers in England. The Secretary of State can refer matters to STRB at any time. STRB reports to the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Education.
