Biography

Alison Daniels was Interim Director of Communications at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) from April to October 2025.

Before this, Alison was Deputy Director of Communications and Digital Transformation Leader.

Before joining the FCDO, Alison worked as a journalist and in the charity sector.

The Director of Communications leads the strategic direction and delivery of all communications for the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). This role ensures that the FCDO communicates effectively with domestic and international audiences, promoting the UK’s foreign policy objectives and values.
