Alan Henry OBE

Biography

Alan Henry has 25 years experience as a Human Resources professional in the public sector, and continues to provide an HR consultancy service. He was a Commissioner for the Equality Commission, the Civil Service Commission and the Human Rights Commission, all in N Ireland. He is currently a lay panellist for the Office of Industrial Tribunals and Fair Employment Tribunals, and an Independent Assessor for the Commissioner for Public Appointments in N Ireland.He is also a Governor of the South Eastern Regional College, and governor of an Blackwater Integrated College. Alan was awarded the OBE for public service in 2009.

He takes a keen interest in current affairs and military history, is a keen sports fan, particularly rugby and golf, and enjoys foreign travel. Appointed: April 2013 Term ends: March 2016
