Adrian Scott

Biography

Adrian Scott was appointed Director, Electronic Monitoring at the National Offender Management Service (now HMPPS) in October 2015 and has more recently taken on additional responsibility as Director for the Prison Reform Portfolio. Adrian has worked as a civil servant for 23 years.

His previous roles include:

  • Head of Security Group, NOMS – Oversight of extremism, serious and organised crime, intelligence, staff corruption and security policy across prisons and increasingly probation
  • Programme Director, NOMS – Organisational Restructure Programme responsible for one of the top 200 Government programmes, which delivered radical public sector reform in public sector prisons
  • Head of review of operating structures, Ministry of Justice – developed the target operating model for the Ministry of Justice
  • Programme Manager, NOMS – for the Offender Assessment (OASys) IT and business change programme, which introduced a new electronic offender risk assessment tool across all prisons and probation services
