Adam Bull

Biography
Adam joined the Insolvency Service in 2015, initially working in Finance as Head of Performance and Insight, before moving to Business Services Division (BSD) as an Assistant Director, and is now Interim Director of BSD.
His career in the Civil Service began 10 years earlier in 2005, working for the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted). Adam joined Ofsted as a fixed term appointee on a six-month contract, working as an Administrative Officer/A2 in a small data team, monitoring performance and the completion of Ofsted’s various inspection cycles. Discovering a newfound passion for Excel and data, he secured a permanent role and moved through the grades to Senior Executive Officer/C2 working in several data-related and analytical roles.
Adam moved professions and into operations (BSD) in 2019, with responsibility for numerous work areas, including the Customer Service Team, Estate Accounts and Scanning and Asset Distribution Teams. The same year, Adam also led the agency’s work to secure redress resulting from the mis-sale of Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) to former bankrupts, with almost £1bn being realised for the benefit of the economy.
When not at work, Adam can be found playing sports, mainly darts, golf, football, cricket and padel – or watching sports, mainly with a beer.
