The Food Standards Agency (FSA) Science Council is an independent expert committee that consists of 10-12 members and provides independent strategic scientific advice and challenge to the FSA's Chief Scientific Adviser, Board and executive on the use of science and evidence to support decision‑making and delivery of FSA objectives.
