Our governance
The Chairman of SACMILL reports to ministers through the Surgeon General, who is the executive officer for the committee and is the primary link between the chairman and government departments. The chairman, executive officer and the secretary make up an executive sub-committee, which addresses routine matters in advance of the main committee meeting. Normally the secretary, the chairman and ex-officio members will act on such matters on behalf of the independent members.
