Firearms Consultative Committee

This independent body was established under the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988 with a remit to keep under review the controls on firearms, to make recommendations to the Home Secretary as to how these may be improved, and to advise on matters which the Home Secretary may refer to the Committee.
