Webinar with Greg Barker on Opportunity India
The webinar on opportunities for UK companies in India will take place Thursday, 6 February 2014, 10:30 am - 11:00 am GMT.
In his forthcoming visit to India, UK Minister for Business Engagement with India and Minister of State for Climate Change, the Rt Hon Gregory Barker MP will speak about the emerging opportunities in India for British Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and the help available to help them win business.
Mr Barker will discuss the reasons why India is one of the world’s fastest growing economies and looks set to continue to be one of the major growth stories of the 21st century. He will discuss the opportunities for UK companies as India customers look for world-class technologies, expertise and brands in a variety of sectors, including infrastructure, energy, professional services, healthcare, education and skills, manufacturing, IT, creative industries and environment.
He will speak from the first UK India Business Centre in Gurgaon which, working with the British Business Groups, is providing business support to UK businesses entering the market. He will draw on the first hand experience of companies already in the market and discuss the support available from business networks and government, including UK Export Finance.
Both SMEs and bigger corporates will get a top level view of the opportunities of business in India. Participants will be offered the opportunity to follow up the webinar by engaging with international trade advisors in the UK from the UK India Business Council and UK Trade and Investment.
