The British Embassy recently launched a vocational training project in Conakry for students in their final year of studies. The students receive expert training in electronics, plumbing etc. Skills such as these are much sought after in Guinea.

After their training, students are placed into jobs with local companies.. The training centre has built up strong links with local businesses. The Embassy’s support for the centre will help address the chronic unemployment amongst young people in Conakry, as well as the skills shortage in Guinea.
