Smoother Journeys Planned on A40 at Huntley

The A40 at Huntley will be closed overnight between Monday, 16 June and Sunday, 29 June to allow essential resurfacing work to take place.

A two and a half mile section of the road will be closed from 8pm until 6am from Monday evening until Saturday morning between A4136 west junction and the Church Road Junction.

Mike Webster, Highways Agency project sponsor, said:

This work will help keep this section of the A40 operating safely for many years to come, as well as providing a smoother journey for road users.

We have planned the work to take place overnight when traffic flows are at their lowest but we would advise people to plan ahead and allow slightly longer for their journeys.

While the work is taking place the following signed diversions will be in place:

  • Road users will be advised to leave the A40 and join the A4136 west to the Church Road Junction at Churchfield Wood before rejoining the A40.
