Resurfacing work on A19 northbound near Easington, Peterlee

Road users and local residents are being advised that from Monday 12 May there will be a series of overnight carriageway closures on the A19 northbound between the A181 Wellfield junction to the A182 Easington Carriageway. Local diversions will be in place.

The closures will be in place from 8pm to 6am each night from 12 May and are scheduled to last around 3 weeks.

During the work A19 northbound traffic should follow the signed diversion via the A181, B1280 Salters Lane and B1283 Durham Lane to re-join the A19 at the A19/A182 Easington interchange.

Traffic from Peterlee wishing to travel north on the A19 should follow the signed diversion via the A19 Southbound to the A181 interchange thence the A181, B1280 Salters Lane and B1283 Durham Lane to re-join the A19 at the A19/A182 Easington interchange.

Traffic from Little Thorpe wishing to travel north on the A19 should follow the signed diversion via Easington Village to re-join the A19 at the A19/A182 Easington interchange.
