Planned road works in West Midlands: Weekly summary for Monday 19 January to Sunday 25 January 2015

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 15 January 2015 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M5 junction 8 to 7, Worcestershire: Carriageway works

The northbound carriageway will be closed from 19 to 25 January between 10pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 4, Droitwich, Worcestershire: Carriageway repairs

The carriageway between the northbound and southbound slip roads will be closed from 9pm on 19 January to 6am on 20 January. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 7 to 6, Worcestershire: Carriageway repairs

The northbound carriageway will be closed from 10pm on 25 January to 6am on 26 January. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The eastbound carriageway will be closed from 19 January to 30 May. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 9, Walsall: Carriageway works

The southbound entry slip road will be closed from 19 January to 30 July between 9pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 junction 12 Gailey, Staffordshire: Carriageway works

The southbound entry slip road will be closed on from 9.30pm on 19 January to 6am on 20 January. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The southbound link will be closed from 19 to 31 January between 10pm and 5.30am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The northbound link will be closed from 19th January to 6th February between 8pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The northbound link will be closed on from 8pm on 20 January to 6am on 21 January. A diversion route will be clearly signposted

M50 junction 1 entry slip road, Tewkesbury: Carriageway works

The westbound entry slip road will be closed 24/7 from 19 January to 22 March. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M50 junction 2, Gloucestershire to junction 4, Ross-on-Wye: Carriageway works

The eastbound carriageway will be closed from 19 to 31 January between 10pm and 6am, and the westbound carriageway will be closed between 8pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M50 junction 1 to 2, Gloucestershire: Carriageway works

The northbound and southbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 23 to 26 January between 8pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M54 junction 5 Telford to junction 3 Cosford, Shropshire: Carriageway works

The eastbound carriageway will be closed in both directions from 19 January to 13 May between 9pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 Churchbridge Roundabout: Carriageway works

The roundabout, east and westbound will be closed from 19 January to 8 February 2015 between 8pm and 5.30am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 Preston Boats Island, Shropshire: Carriageway works

The westbound carriageway will be closed from 19 to 31 January 2015 between 8pm and 6am, and the eastbound carriageway will be closed between 7.30pm and 7am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 Emstrey Island, Shropshire: Carriageway works

The eastbound and westbound carriageway will be closed from 19 to 31 January 2015 between 7.30pm and 7am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 Montford Lane to Wolfshead Roundabout, Shropshire: Carriageway works

The eastbound and westbound carriageways will be closed from 19 January to 15 February between 8pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A38 Hilliards Cross junction, Lichfield: Carriageway works

The northbound exit slip road will be closed from 21 to 23 January between 8pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A45, Ryton-on-Dunsmore to M45, Rugby: Carriageway works

The northbound and southbound carriageway will be closed from 19 January to 28 February between 8pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A45 Bromfield to North of Onibury, Shropshire: Carriageway works

The northbound carriageway will be closed from 19 to 30 January between 8pm and 5.30am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A45/A46 Tollbar End major project, Coventry

Generally, over the period of the scheme, temporary speed limits will be in place monitored by average-speed cameras. There is now a 40mph limit on the A45 Stonebridge Highway, A46 Coventry Eastern Bypass, A45 London Road and Tollbar Roundabout. Drivers are advised to follow any diversions and not to use their Satellite Navigation Systems.

Planned traffic management for the week from Saturday 17 January (All lane and road closures during off-peak hours, 9:30am to 3.30pm and 8pm to 6am):

  • Saturday 17 January - A45 (Stonebridge) Eastbound lane 2 closure; A45 (Stonebridge) Westbound road closure
  • Sunday 18 January – No additional requirements.
  • Monday 19 January - A46 Northbound narrow lane 1; A46 Southbound lane 2 closure; A45 (Stonebridge) Eastbound lane 1 closure; A45 (Stonebridge) Eastbound lane 2 closure; (Stonebridge) Westbound lane 2 closure; B4110 London Road lane 1 closure; Siskin Drive lane 1 closure; A45 on-slip eastbound Stivichall road closure (21:00-23:00)

  • lane 4 closure on the A45 westbound
  • narrow lanes will be in place on A45 Stonebridge Highway, westbound (Tollbar to Stivichall)
  • traffic management will be in place on Tollbar roundabout
  • Stonehouse Lane access to A45 Stonebridge Highway will be closed
  • lane 1 closure will be in place on A45 London Road, eastbound
  • narrow lanes will be in place on A46 Coventry eastern bypass, northbound
  • various lane closures around Tollbar End roundabout

September 2014 to December 2015

  • Rowley Road will have various lane closures
  • Siskin Drive will have various lane closures
  • London Road B4110 will have various lane closures
