Mr Ellwood statement on death penalties sentences
Minister for the Middle East, Tobias Ellwood, is concerned by the death sentences as handed down by the Bahraini courts
The UK is concerned by the death sentences as handed down by the Bahraini courts. We support Bahrain’s right to bring to justice those responsible for the death of a police officer. But it is our longstanding policy to oppose the death penalty in all circumstances.
