Model of the British House of Commons closing ceremony

British Ambassador to Egypt James Watt attended the closing ceremony of the Model of the British House of Commons.

MBHC closing ceremony

On 28 April 2013, the British Ambassador James Watt attended the closing ceremony of the Model of the British House of Commons (MBHC) at the Ministry of Youth.

The Ambassador watched the students simulating the closing floor for the House of Commons and reading the bills that they have discussed during their four day conference. He closed the flooring ceremony with a speech and distributed certificates on the Model’s High board.

During his speech, the Ambassador praised this kind of student activity, adding that Egypt is a true partner and friend to the UK. He spoke about the scholarship opportunities that the UK offers to such talented students that aspire to becoming future leaders in their society.

The MBHC simulates the activities of the British House of Common and is hosted by faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University.
