High Commissioner attends Gambian drug burning

The cocaine was seized in 2010 in a joint operation between Gambian forces and the UK Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA). The cocaine was bound for Europe.

The UK High Commission recently donated an incinerator to the National Drugs Enforcement Agency (NDEA) to assist with their drug destruction operations. In addition to the incinerator the British High Commission also presented to the NDEA a 4X4 vehicle which will enable the NDEA to tackle the problem of drug trafficking in the hard to reach up-country regions of The Gambia.
