Further evidence that long term economic plan is working
David Mundell welcomes latest positive report on Scottish economy.
Further good news for the Scottish economy was welcomed today by Scotland Office Minister David Mundell.
Commenting on the latest Bank of Scotland survey, Mr Mundell said:
I welcome the latest Bank of Scotland survey results which shows that more Scots have found employment in September and salaries are also increasing. This is more welcome and encouraging news for the Scottish economy, coming hard on the heels of the latest statistics which found the Scottish economy has now been growing for two years continuously, unemployment has fallen at a record pace and there are more women in work than ever before.
This survey is further evidence that the government’s long term economic plan is working and Scotland is reaping the rewards of benefits from being part of the UK which is the fastest growing economy in the G7.
