Eid al-Adha: message from the Deputy Prime Minister in 2010

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has sent his best wishes to those across the UK and around the world celebrating Eid al-Adha.

The Deputy Prime Minister said:

I would like to wish every Muslim family in the country, and around the world, Eid Mubarak. Eid al-Adha is a time of reflection, considering the personal contribution that can be made to charity and to society as a whole.

I would like to take this opportunity to recognise the contributions that British Muslims make to British society. I wish Muslim families around the world health, prosperity and peace.

Once again, Eid Mubarak.
