Eid al-Adha: message from the Deputy Prime Minister
The Deputy Prime Minister has recorded a video message wishing Muslims across the UK Eid Mubarak.
In the video, Nick Clegg speaks of Eid al-Adha as a “time for reflection and for charity, when Muslims think about the contribution they can make to their communities and to our whole society.”
He continues:
When you think how much our Muslim community already does for this country in business, in public service, in our Armed Forces, through culture and education, it is humbling that so many take this time to ask what more they can do.
And there is a lesson in that for all of us.
