Speaking ahead of Eid al-Adha, British Chargé d’Affairs Russ Dixon said:

Eid Al Adha is a special time when Muslims commemorate the faith, devotion and self-sacrifice of the Prophet Abraham, and the festival marks the completion of the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca. Traditionally a time for reflection, I hope this opportunity will be used by the people of Bahrain to promote reconciliation. I would like take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and peaceful week. Eid Mubarak.
