Deputy Head of Mission Simon Mustard visits Sweimeh Municipality
On 9 March DHM Simon Mustard visited Sweimeh Municipality. He met the Mayor of the municipality, when they discussed the challenges of unemployment in the region and what can be done to address the issue. He then went on to a UK-funded training session run by the UK Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration service and @AdamSmithInternational on mediation and conciliation skills with inspectorate unit directors from across different Jordanian governorates.
Speaking at the event, DHM Mustard said: “I’m very pleased to be here with you today and welcome you to this training event on Dispute Resolution Methods and Approaches. As the Deputy Ambassador, I’m very proud of the cooperation between the British and Jordan Governments in this field. We are pleased to work with Adam Smith International based on the Memorandum of Understanding which the Ambassador signed with His Excellency the Minister of Labour last year.
