Chevening scholar heads to London

Chevening scholar Tursun Aitbaeva says she’s thrilled to have the opportunity to study for a master’s degree in the UK.

From September Tursun Aitbaeva will be studying at London’s City University for an MSc in Energy, Trade and Finance. Tursun who has several years’ experience in the mining sector said:

British universities are among the best in the world. I’m looking forward to sharing my experience of mining in Kyrgyzstan with the other students – and to learning from them.

Throughout her scholarship, Tursun will share her observations on studying in the UK at the Embassy’s Facebook page.

Applications for 2015/16 Chevening scholarships are open until 15 November. On 18-19 September, Chevening expert Harish Lokhun will visit Bishkek to brief potential students on scholarships and the application process. For those not able to attend the Bishkek briefings, Harish will lead a live webchat when you’ll have the opportunity to put your questions directly to him. Details of the briefings and webchat will be posted on Facebook shortly.
