Calls to improve signage between the M62 and M60
Statement to the Oldham Advertiser in response to calls from residents and Oldham Council for improved signage along the local motorway network to stop drivers using the A663 Broadway route to 'rat run' between the M62 and M60.
A spokesman for the Highways Agency said:
“The section of the A663 between the M60 and the A627(M) is classified as a strategic road, which means it is part of a network of motorways and major A roads used by motorists and freight across the country. We are currently working with Oldham Council to understand concerns about how the road is being used and to find possible solutions.”
