British High Commission's statement on "Wee nabbed in Diplomatic Vehicle "
The British High Commission in Accra's statement following a report by Daily Guide newspaper on 27th January, 2015.
“The British High Commission can confirm that a fake diplomatic number plate, part of the ‘100’ series assigned to our vehicles, was used fraudulently as reported in today’s Daily Guide Article, ‘Wee nabbed in Diplomatic Car’. Therefore, the vehicle seized was not a diplomatic vehicle, nor did it belong to the British High Commission.
We appreciate and commend the regional police who worked closely with our own security team to clarify this quickly”.
